This project was to obtain consent to build an overhead fibre network on private property to deliver high speed broadband. We used our field based workflow management system to track and load all photos and detailed consent forms so that the build team had access to all information.

The challenge was to gain consent from the home owner so that we could build a continuous line for connectivity to the network. Cabling all households was essential for the area / street to be built.

The solution was to have an experienced team of wayleavers that had knowledge of the required network design, with very good customer awareness and to build trust with the home owner.

The result was that ICL received up to 90% consent rate by area so that the build could go ahead resulting in the targeted units being passed by the network.

Subsequent to ICL successfully completing this pilot project SIRO has engaged ICL to complete wayleaving services in several other towns throughout Ireland.
