Fibre: splicing, blowing, segmentation
In today’s telecommunications industry, fibre is the dominant and dynamic technology, delivering far greater speeds and reliability for Broadband and Digital TV.
To meet our customers’ needs, Integrated Communications have made this a core area of expertise. Our team is fully trained in all areas of fibre integration and application. We are currently delivering a 10 gigabyte product for our customers as well as fibre segmenting nodal areas over 1,000 homes.
We install fibre through all residential and commercial networks, from the headend through to the fibre ring and beyond. Due to the innovative and specialised nature of this technology, Integrated Communications have invested heavily in training and equipment:
• Cable Splice Machines (Fujikura 50F)
• Power Source Meter (Noyes)
• Power Light Meter (Noyes)
• Traffic Identifiers (Fitell)
• OTDR Machines (Exfo & Noyes)
These have made us Ireland’s market leader.
Each member of our fibre splicing team has qualified through City & Guilds (Level 2 Certificate in Communications & Cabling), but it is the minimum of three years’ on-the-job training (our engineers work in pairs) and experience that give Integrated Communications their core expertise in the craft of fibre splicing.
