In May 2006, ICL invested in and formally opened our custom-built training centre.
We invest heavily in our employees because we realised at the start that there was a need to train our staff to perform highly demanding and complex tasks. The obvious way to do this was to train them ourselves, on-site, and to do this using qualified trainers who could teach and observe at the same time.
The 4,000 square foot facility is at our Carlow Head Office.
Only after an individual has achieved the necessary levels of competence is he or she allowed to perform live tasks for our customers.
Customers rate this resource highly as our training focuses on the handling and installation of cables, fibres and proprietary technology, in addition to the statutory Health & Safety training requirements.
