Project Kennedy is the dedicated multi-year program to upgrade Virgin Media’s entire existing Irish network (hybrid-fibre coax) and expand to new areas using 100% fibre-optic cables.

ICL teams have been responsible for detailed surveying and large-scale fibre optic cabling – across both underground and overhead infrastructure – supporting Virgin Media’s goal of delivering a 5Gbps-capable network.

Kennedy Multi-Dwelling Unit (KMDU)

In addition to large-scale surveying and infrastructure cabling, our teams are heavily involved in the Kennedy Multi-Dwelling Unit (KMDU) programme. Within this specialized workstream, ICL crews have successfully completed cable installations and fibre optic splicing, ensuring high-speed connectivity is delivered directly into complex residential and commercial multi-unit developments.
